In the age of globalization the information and communication technologies are conquering the world and youth receives main information from the global net. There you may find the answer on any question. Taking into consideration that the year 2010 was declared the ‘Year of the Harmoniously Developed Generation’ a lot of state, public and youth organizations are implementing a great work on education of the harmoniously developed generation by means of information and communication technologies. The first International Conference on the ‘Role of Modern Information and Communication Technologies in Education of the Harmoniously Developed Generation’ organized by the Public Movement of Uzbekistan Youth ‘Kamolot’, the stock company ‘Uzbektelecom’, the ‘UZINFOCOM’, the ‘ITECO Tashkent’ company and other organizations was held in the capital of Uzbekistan. The participants of this conference considered such problems as ‘ Youth and Information and Communication Technologies’ and ‘Training of Specialists in the Field of Information and Communication Technologies’. The reports were accompanied with multi-media presentations. The conference aimed at involving the youth into the state and commercial projects of information and communication technologies (ICT), working out the projects on training of young specialists, activization of students, master’s course students, post-graduates in the field of communication and informatization exchange and analysis of experience, working out proposals on further development this field with participation of the youth. The young scientists presented their reports and proposals together with the assistant professors and professors. It is expected holding such international conference to lay foundation of cooperation of commercial ICT companies with the Public Movement of Uzbekistan Youth ‘Kamolot’ both in the capital and in provinces. Representatives of the Committee for the Problems of Informatization and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, managers of UzACI (Uzbek Agency of Communication and Informatization), the Academy of Statehood and Public Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the conference. Students, master’s course students and post-graduates of higher educational institutions of Tashkent and the Samarkand province as well as students and managers of information centers participated in it. Representatives of information and technologies (IT) companies of Uzbekistan such as the ‘Open Technologies Tashkent’, the ‘ITECO Tashkent’ and the ‘UNICON.UZ’ made presentations during the conference.
