How to tell children about the protective the ozone layer? Is it necessary? Experienced teachers and educators can say that it is necessary. The earlier we begin to form children’s ecological cultural the more harmonious and fundamental it will be in their future life. Such knowledge should be given competently taking into consideration the age peculiarities and possibilities of the audience. 20 January interesting event was held for pupils of the first form in the secondary school № 257 of the Unus-Abad district of Tashkent. The children learned about the ozone layer and its protection qualities. The main goal of the organizers was to inform the pupils of primary school about ozone, the problems concerned with preservation of the ozone layer and precautionary measures against the harmful influence of ultra-violet emanation. The learned information was fixed by means of plays and competitions. Detailed talk, posters about environment, demonstration of the film ‘Ozzi Ozone’ with further discussion of it, questioning on understanding of this film allowed children to gain useful practical skill of being in the sun. The plan of the extra-curricular event was worked out by G.R.Asyamova – a methodologist of RMUMK ‘Bioecosan’: 1. At first- acquaintance with pupils of the form. Presentation of posters; then the pupils should be asked: who likes nature, what does they like to do outside, why does adults advice to breath fresh air more often. What is the fresh air and how can we feel it? Children should be told about air envelope of the Earth- the atmosphere. (Children should be asked to wave their hands to feel air). 2. Then the information about the composition of the atmosphere, presence of the ozone layer in it is given. The ozone layer services to all living beings on the Earth as reliable defender from the ultra-violet emanation. A question to the form- who was burnt over violently under the sun in summer? It is effect of the ultra-violet emanation and the Sun is the source of this emanation. Then the film about ozone should be demonstrated. Then afterwards the film is discussed. 3. There are pictures of the fairytale characters on the wall of the classroom. The pupils should be asked who of these characters is dressed right for a walk under the sun. It was very interesting for the pupils to see this film. The school administration expressed their thanks for interesting and useful extra- curriculum event.
