UNO Program for Environmental Protection (UNEP) Committee and Concern ‘Bayer’ invite children at the age from 6 to 14 to take part in the 19th International Competition of Children’s Drawings on the theme ‘Biological Diversity: Interrelation with Nature’ which is dedicated the environmental protection.
As is well known, UNO declared the year 2010 the International Year of Biological Diversity. In this connection the ‘Bayer’ Company and UNEP jointly with other partners of the project including the Fund for Fighting for Peace and Environment Preservation based in Japan and ‘Nikon’ Corporation have decided to emphasize the importance of this problem by means of children’s drawings competition.
Children from all countries can try to express their attitude to the diversity of life on the Earth and ways of saving endangered species of plants and animals. The winners of the global and regional competition stages by regions: Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America and Caribbean Sea Region, Western Asia and Asian-Pacific Region will receive monetary premiums and other prizes and presents. Besides, participation of competition winners and accompanying persons in the solemn awarding ceremony will be paid.
The awarding ceremony of competition winners will be held in the middle of 2010. After it the best drawings will be sent on the world exhibition tour.
The rules and order of submission drawings to the 19th International Competition of Children’s Drawings are following:
Only the children no younger than 6 and no older than 14 by 5 June 2010 will be eligible for competition.
It is necessary to write legibly name and surname of the children, address, e-mail address if possible and compulsory contact telephone number on the back of drawing. It is desirable to write the contact information in English.
There is no limitation in choice of materials for drawing. It may be water-colours, colored pencils, chalk. Paper size – A3 or A4.
All drawings should  be specially drown for competition.
