Telling Children about Energy Saving

 
 

 

The 3rd International Fair of innovative ideas, technologies and projects has finished. The agreements were concluded, the contracts were signed, the joint plants and measures were discussed. Such forums create productive platform for business meeting and exchange of opinions and also give young scientists an opportunity to present themselves and their activity. The meeting of the correspondent of the’Ekologichesky Vestnik’ journal with the young perspective scientists of the Namangan State University was not accidental. Not only their deserving notice exposition, but also the interesting teaching and methodological development on energy saving and environment preservation attracted our attention. The multimedia electronic text-book is intended for the teaching course in ‘Energy Saving and Fundamentals of Ecology’ for pre-school institutions and primary forms of general schools.
 The aid includes the voice video reels, animated films, virtual laboratory; electronic library and data base concerned with this topic. “Introducing electronic and didactic teaching materials (electronic text-book and additional information materials – video reels, animated films, electronic library and data base) it is possible to raise the level of knowledge in this area. It is possible to achieve significant energy saving in everyday life, in industry and other fields of national economy” – Anvarbek Abdulaevich Pulatov, one of the authors of the text-book, assistant professor of the department of physics, Ph. D in physics and mathematics told us. “So far the introduction of the subject ‘Energy Saving and Ecology’ into the educational process of general schools and pre-school institutions is one of the important directions in raising of effectiveness of teaching” – M. Kodirkhanov, vice rector in change of science of the Namangan State University considered. – “ We should give the pupils of primary forms and pre-school institutions the ideas of problems in this area and the factors that cause these problems, including the ideas of prevention of energy deficit, basic concepts and peculiarity of the energy saving materials, global warming and ways of overcoming of energy crisis. With the help of innovative teaching methods, practical tasks and exercises created on the base of daily life process, the effective results can be achieved”.
The authors of the electronic text-book are sure that introduction of these subjects into educational cycle is economic effective and necessary. In the course of education and upbringing, using this electronic text-book 10% of pupils (in the Namangan province – 444180 pupils) can save 16.7 Wh of energy for ten minutes. For the year this result will achieve 38 910 168 kWh. It makes up 2 521 338 000 soums. If one pupil for ten minutes saves 0.1m3 of natural gas, then for the year – 23 346 100m3 of natural gas. It makes up 1 050 574 536 soums. The total amount of these savings is 3 571 952 536 soums. Trough out the Republic these figures will be much higher.
At present it is the only national text-book based on the author’s development and methodology with the cases directly concerned with Uzbekistan.
