The weather on the first day of spring was as damp and dull as on the last days of winter. The car was running along grey streets of the town in rain. Sweepers were trying to remove the rubbish, thrown by careless citizens, were seen through the car’s window. As the bright contrast – a territory with modal cleanness, order, regular flower-beds and garden pleasing the eye tired of city rubbish and trash. Here the brief of spring can already be felt.
Today the presentation on the ‘Globalization of the Ecological Problems’ was made for the officers stuff in headquarters of the Main Department of the Guard Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The report was supported with the slides. The lecturer tried to highlight all global ecological problems and also the local problems. The lecturer in detail spoke about the work that is carried out in the field of resolution of ecological problems by the State Committee for Nature Protection and other ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and also about the low-making activity and international cooperation in the area of environment protection.
The presentation roused real interest of the audience and the raised questions which were actual, content bearing and showing the awareness in ecological issues became the evidence of it. Interest in ecology and wish to raise the level of knowledge in this area as well as understanding of actuality of ecological topic and importance of receiving competent information are glad for specialist, working in the field of ecological awareness.
Unfortunately, our community does not sufficiently understand the danger of natural disbalance, state of atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere, influence of ecological dangers on human health, span and quality of life. Ignorance and lack of understanding of this influence will cause slow creeping into ecological precipice. Climbing out from this precipice with require from several generations more great economic expends and other organization and educational, scientific and technical efforts than it is necessary now.
True ecological well-being can be based only on the ecological knowledge at every level and on regular work of industrial, agricultural, scientific, educational and management structures in this area.
