Economic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan is based on creation of conditions for rising science-intensive, high-technology industry, including: creation of conditions for the sustainable development of small innovative business; efficient use of the scientific and technical capacity of scientific, research and project designing organizations of the Republic with the purpose of resolution of the actual problems of economic and social development of the country; rendering assistance to rising investment and innovative activity of enterprises, attraction of investment into broadening of innovative activity. For this, the regularly working platform where investment demand meets with proposals in the innovative area, the place for direct business contacts of innovators and investors of innovative ideas is needed. The Republican Fair of innovative ideas, technologies and projects has become such place.
The next Republican Fair of innovative ideas, technologies and projects is held within the framework of implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan №916 dated 15.07.2008 ‘On Additional Measures for Stimulation of Introduction of Innovative Projects and Technologies in Industry’.
Participation in exposition of projects gives the innovative enterprisers and organizations an opportunity to receive real financial assistance for promotion of their developments from the investors who are interested in investment of their available resources to a high-technological, interesting and perspective business.
The exposition part of the Fair includes five areas:
Industry;
Agriculture;
Public Health and Pharmaceutics;
Information technologies;
Science and education.
Significant part of the applied, innovative and scientific-technical projects and developments presented in the Fair are concerned with creation of export oriented and import substituting production and technologies that allow creating new high-effective materials, machines, preparations and other science-intensive production meeting the world analogues.
In these areas over 110 research, educational, design and experimental organizations of the Academy of Science, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources and a number of departments as well as inventors and small innovative centers with more than 500 technologies, developments and ideas take part in the Fair.
It is expected that during the Fair innovators and investors will sign a number of contracts.
