In view of declaration of 2010 the ‘Year of the Harmoniously Developed Generation‘, the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, the Tashkent Province Committee for Nature Protection, the children organization ‘Kamalak’ of the Public Movement of Youth ‘Kamolot’ and the non-governmental non-profit organization (NNO) ‘Ekomaktab’ with the support of the Public Fund for Support of NNO and other Institutions of Civil Society under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the competition ‘Water- the Source of Life’. The competition is timed for the World Day of Water that is annually celebrated on 22 March. The students of the academic lyceums named after S. Kh. Sirojiddinov, S. Rakhimov and Zangiota at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek can take part in this competition.
The competition shall accept the creative works in 4 fields:

The creative works should reflect the role and place of youth express creative thinking and highlight the following subjects:
Efficient use of water;
Protection of water and its pollution;
Water purification;
Human value concerned with water.
The deadline for accepting the works for competition is 19 March 2010.
The creative works are accepted by the deputy director for spiritual and enlightenment work of the academic lyceum named after Sabir Rakhimov.
The results of the competition will be summed up on 22 March.
