In October 2008 Uzbekistan joined in the new data base of birds monitoring AviCA (Avis of Central Asia). This data base gives users of whole world the opportunity to input and request data on birds in Central Asia. We already can interest scientists and lovers of birds monitoring. Today about 100 people are users of this base. Among them there are ornithologists, students-biologists and birds lovers. According to the data on February 2010, the data base already has information about 344 monitoring of birds that includes 6268 meetings with 359 species of birds in Central Asia. Unfortunately, the major data are presented only on Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. On other countries we have now only isolated investigations. But we hope that situation will soon change and AviCA will begin actively work in other countries also. We remind you, that AviCA is placed at the following internet address: http://www.worldbirds.org/v3/centralasia.php or www.avica.uz in Uzbekistan and www.avica.kz in Kazakhstan. Join to us!
