Uzbekistan alongside with other countries of the world community brings the contribution to preservation of an ozone cloud of a planet. Uzbekistan takes part in work of the international meetings of the Parties of the Viennese convention and the Montreal report, since 1996.
In our country Laws « About wildlife management » and « About protection of atmospheric air » operate.
On May, 18, 1993 the Republic Uzbekistan has succession confirmed concerning the participation in the Viennese convention on protection of an ozone cloud and the Montreal report on the substances destroying an ozone cloud, and has undertaken the obligations following from connection to the specified documents.
Having signed the Montreal Report, acts of republic of Uzbekistan on protection of an ozone cloud have been accepted. The government of Republic of Uzbekistan the decision № 469 from October, 20 1999г. « About the Program of actions on preservation of the environment of Republic Uzbekistan for 1999-2005 » is accepted. The strategic direction of the given Program had been recognized stage-by-stage following to observance of performance of the international obligations of the Montreal report.
And in 2001 at the State committee of Republic Uzbekistan on wildlife management in Central administrative board on protection of atmospheric air the Ozone Office on management of replacement ODT (Ozone Office) has been created. The given Office had been lead a line of actions and projects on prevention of emission ozone-destroying substances. In particular, it{he} carries out coordination of actions on performance of the National program on the termination{discontinuance} of use ODT as a whole and projects.
One of the significant works executed by Ozone Office, began the edition of the book "OZONE CLOUD" in Russian and Uzbek languages. The edition contains the popular scientific information on ozone, its protective properties to not pass{miss} dangerous to a life and health of all alive on the Earth ultra-violet radiation, about occurrence of a problem of preservation of an ozone cloud of a planet, about struggle of scientists of all world for phase-out ozone-destroying substances, about actions of the government of Republic Uzbekistan on preservation of an ozone cloud. Language of a statement is simple and convenient for understanding.
